Diet is part of the work.
The nervous system does not exist in isolation from the gut. The microbes living in your digestive tract largely determine which neurotransmitters make it to your brain at all. Inflammation, blood sugar swings, microbial imbalance, the absence of nutrients the brain genuinely needs. These all show up as dysregulation upstream. You can sit and breathe through a great deal, and the practice will carry you far. But if the body is at war with what you feed it, the work is harder than it needs to be.
For clients who want to address the dietary side of this seriously, I point them to one resource. Read it, and the conversations we have in session can go much deeper.
